- C. Stanley Kubrick β Stanley Kubrick directed 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968), co-written with science fiction author Arthur C. Clarke. It features HAL 9000, a calm but deadly computer. Kubrick's only Oscar was for the film's groundbreaking special effects.
- B. Winifred, Sarah, and Mary β The three Sanderson sisters in Hocus Pocus are Winifred (Bette Midler), Sarah (Sarah Jessica Parker) and Mary (Kathy Najimy). Winifred is the bossy leader with a spellbook, Mary has a powerful sense of smell, and Sarah lures children with her singing.
